Travel & access
Luxembourg is well connected to neighbouring countries and major European cities, making it convenient to reach by car, train or plane.
By car
Luxembourg can be reached from Belgium via the A6, from France via the A3, and from Germany via the A1 from Trier or the A13 from Saarbrücken.
If you are staying in Luxembourg City, consider using your hotel’s parking facilities or a Park & Ride (P+R) and continuing by public transport. Check parking conditions and allow additional time during peak traffic periods.
By train
Book your journey to Luxembourg railway station — Gare de Luxembourg. Luxembourg has rail connections with France, Belgium and Germany, including direct TGV services from Paris Gare de l’Est. From the station, you can continue by tram, bus or taxi.
Check routes, timetables and international tickets at cfl.lu.
By plane
Fly to Luxembourg Airport (LUX), also known as Findel. A direct tram connection links the airport with Kirchberg, the city centre and Luxembourg’s main railway station. Bus services, taxis and car rental are also available.
Find flights and airport information at lux-airport.lu.
Getting around during your stay
